Humankind launches for PC on August 17 through Steam and the Epic Games Store. Games benchmarked include: Hitman - 1:17 Abzu - 2:05 Sherlock Holmes the Devil's. Humankind might just be one title in a never-ending list of releases, but the anti-Denuvo crowd will take any win they can get. A benchmark of 7 games before and after they removed Denuvo DRM. If the performance impact of Denuvo is too great, developers will have to look for other solutions. But the most crucial weapon in Denuvo’s arsenal is the developer support. The war between Denuvo, cracking groups and publishers/developers looking to protect their games will never end.

Denuvos denial that the DRM has literally any performance impact on a gamers machine It takes up 500MB, which will use drive I/O when it loads. Not saying DF is terrible or anything but Overlord seems to know a great deal about Denuvo performance impacts. Their systems have been accused of overconsuming CPU power and creating game performance issues.

A few years ago, Denuvo was massively in front: games like Rise of the Tomb Raider remained uncracked for over a full year, and the 2016 reboot of DOOM kept Denuvo in for a full six months. Denuvo has had no shortage of controversy in the past. The race between Denuvo and cracking groups has waxed and waned over time. The only thing that Denuvo is currently doing for us is checking to make certain that Steams (or Origins) DRM is still attached to the game.
